Cypher
The dictionary defines a cypher as a secret or disguised form of writing, and also as a person of no importance, a nonentity. The project is derived from the tiny author-portraits on yellowed 1950s Penguin books. These authors and their written works have largely faded from view. The printer's dots were used to digitally infill the heads.
